PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle route guide system that alleviates excess and deficiency of power distribution in a power-consuming area. SOLUTION: In the vehicle route guide system, an ECU guides a vehicle 10 via any route of a route for charging an on-board battery of the vehicle in an area with surplus of electric power, a route for discharging the on-board battery of the vehicle in an area deficient in the electric power, and a route both for charging the on-board battery of the vehicle in the area with surplus of the electric power and for discharging the on-board battery of the vehicle in the area deficient in the electric power. Thus, the vehicle receives the electric power from the area with surplus of the electric power by charging the on-board battery, and the vehicle supplies the electric power to the area deficient in the electric power by discharging from the on-board battery. Accordingly, the on-board battery of the vehicle can be used to alleviate the excess and deficiency of power distribution among a plurality of areas irrespective of situations of a power line network.
