PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply regeneration type charge/discharge test device which suppresses recovery losses in reverse directions of diodes which are connected to semiconductor switching elements of a chopper circuit in reversely parallel therewith, and electromagnetic noise accompanied by the recovery losses. SOLUTION: The power supply regeneration type charge/discharge test device includes: a PWM converter 10; smoothing capacitors 20A, 20B; a four-quadrant chopper circuit bridge-connected with the semiconductor switching elements 22A to 22H to which the diodes 23A to 23H are connected in reversely parallel therewith; Schottky barrier diodes 1A, 1B clamped to a first arm of the four-quadrant chopper circuit; Schottky barrier diodes 1C, 1D clamped to a second arm of the four-quadrant chopper circuit; and a DC reactor 24 and an test battery 25 which are arranged at an output part of the four-quadrant chopper circuit. By switching the turn-on/off of the semiconductor switching elements 22A to 22H of the first and second arms, a current of the four-quadrant chopper circuit is commutated to one of the Schottky barrier diodes 1A to 1D by using a connecting line 27.
