PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for manufacturing a polymer single crystal-containing film containing polymer single crystals of a helical polyacetylene applicable to electronic devices, and a polymer single crystal composed of a helical polyacetylene single crystal. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a polymer single crystal-containing film containing single crystals of the helical polyacetylene involves removing a solvent from a solution containing a helical polyacetylene having a columnar-content of≥25% and the solvent. The method of manufacturing a polymer single crystal comprises a step of removing the solvent from the solution containing the helical polyacetylene having a columnar-content of≥25% and the solvent to obtain a polymer single crystal-containing film containing the helical polyacetylene single crystal, and a step of treating the polymer single crystal-containing film with a solvent to obtain the polymer single crystal composed of the helical polyacetylene single crystal.
