PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of a capper 6 by transferring a cap 16 without lowering and raising a capping head 46. SOLUTION: Each container 2 is held and conveyed by a neck gripper 14 provided on a rotary body 10, and the capping head 46 is disposed above each container 2. Each of caps 16 supplied in a line from a chute 18 is held by the capping head 46 and the cap is fitted on a container 2. A cap guide 104 is disposed so as to be continuous with the leading end of the chute 18. The cap guide 104 is disposed below the moving passage of the capping head 46 and is gradually raised toward the downstream side. When each cap 16 is taken out of the chute 18 by cap take-out means 58 and moved on the cap guide 104, the cap 16 is gradually raised and held by the capping head 46 horizontally moving above it.
