PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament made of a ribbon, wherein the ribbon surrounds a gift or others in a cross shape and are tied and to provide a method for forming the same. SOLUTION: The ornament (10) of a ribbon comprises a first ribbon (12) and a second ribbon (14) intersecting the first ribbon and folded back. The ornament has a loop (36) by the first ribbon, formed by tying one end part of the first ribbon and one end part of the second ribbon so as to place the other end (12b) of the first ribbon between the one end part (12a) of the first ribbon and the one end part (14a) of the second ribbon and form a knot (34) through which the other end part passes.
