PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head which can suppress adverse effects of static electricity even when the liquid jet head has a nozzle plate formed of an insulating material. SOLUTION: The liquid jet head 1 is comprised of the nozzle plate 31 which has nozzle openings 30 and is formed of a highly insulating material, a recording head body 21 which jets liquid droplets via the nozzle openings by causing pressure variation in pressure generating chambers 23 by piezoelectric elements 36, and a head case 22 which is formed of an insulating material fixed on the recording head body 21 and has ink introduction passages 47 for supplying the liquid to the recording head body 21. A metal plating layer 55 is formed on the whole surface of the head case 22 including an inner peripheral surface of the ink introduction passage 47 formed inside the head case.
