PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform image formation using environmental information, even in such a state that the environmental information cannot be obtained because an environmental information detecting means is not installed or the environmental information detecting means is in an abnormal state. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is connected via network, to another apparatus having a response means configured to respond the environmental information. In this case, the image forming apparatus is configured to request to obtain the environmental information from another apparatus, and then, control image forming processing using the obtained environmental information.
