PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type rice transplanter improved in the safety on lifting up and down its transplanting part automatically. SOLUTION: This riding type rice transplanter is equipped with a vehicle body, an informing part, a transplanting part, a lifting up and down cylinder for vertically lifting up and down the transplanting part, and a controlling part for controlling the drive of the lifting up and down cylinder. The controlling part informs the automatic lifting up and down of the transplanting part by the informing part and then lifting up and down the transplanting part by driving the lifting up and down cylinder in the case of detecting a trigger for starting the control for automatically lifting up and down the transplanting part.
