The system (8) has sensors (4a-4c) arranged at an inner side (2) of a pane (1), and picture signal sources (5a, 5b) arranged at an outer side (3) of the pane for determining optical aberrations e.g. spherical aberrations and diffractions, that are produced due to outer wetting of the pane. The sensors determine degree of wetting of the pane from the optical aberrations, and the sources are connected with the system over an evaluation unit and produced with different picture signals and/or periodical signals. The sensors comprise an autofocus system for optical acquisition of the sources.
