<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce a packet error rate of a communication apparatus on the receiving side. <P>SOLUTION: A communication apparatus 11 adds error detection codes to information packets at a layer before a physical layer, encodes the information packets after the addition of the error detection codes at the physical layer, and transmits the information packet after the encoding at the physical layer.
