<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous composition useful as a water-soluble metal working oil, etc., having good scum characteristics, excellent rust prevention and putrefaction resistance and a long service life. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous composition is obtained by mixing a carboxylic acid (a) with an alkanolamine (b). The carboxylic acid (a) comprises a linear aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, a branched aliphatic monocarboxylic acid and a dicarboxylic acid and the alkanolamine (b) comprises a primary alkanolamine and a tertiary alkanolamine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
