<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, capable of properly determining the strength of feeling, the degree of importance, or the like represented in a received character message. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone 1 includes a communication unit 12 for receiving a character message including subject information and a control unit 15 for analysis of the received character message to determine at least one of the strength of feeling and the degree of importance represented in the character message on the basis of the analysis results.
