<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a food storing container, wherein a product having a defect at a flange (an annulus) is not produced even when a support member cannot be brought into close contact with a mold or cannot be arranged near the mold. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the food storing container includes a step for forming a cardboard-like product from a pulp material, a step for applying a thermoplastic resin having a heat sealing function on one or both of a surface and a rear surface of the cardboard-like product and a step for forming cut parts to form side face pieces at four corners of the cardboard-like product or for forming a folded piece to join adjacent side face pieces and a step for forming a food storing container by heat-pressing the obtained cardboard-like product by a pair of press dies while supporting one of facing side face pieces by a supporting member which is abutted on a rear surface of the side face piece to bend a container opening periphery outward and to thermally adhere a top end while bending it downward. The supporting member protrudes to one opposite surface of a concave die top end. When a convex mold presses the concave mold, the supporting member moves against force of an elastic body. When the convex mold is moved by releasing pressurization after pressing, the supporting member return to an original position by force of the elastic body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
