PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entry recognition system that recognizes entries in entry areas in a sheet when a plurality of pages of images are laid out and printed on the sheet. SOLUTION: The entry recognition system includes a device for laying out and printing a plurality of pages of images on a single sheet, a device for acquiring layout information indicating how the plurality of pages are laid out on the sheet, a device for acquiring page area information indicating, for pages of the plurality of pages which include entry areas, the arrangement of the entry areas in the pages, a device for reading in an image of the sheet completed by a person, a device for generating recognition area information indicating the arrangement of recognition areas in the sheet subjected to entry recognition according to the layout information and page area information, and a device for recognizing entries in the areas in the sheet read which are indicated by the recognition area information.
