PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts for a power supply system for a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: When the system is started, a surge current at a system start is suppressed first by energizing an electrical circuit for the power supply system through a resistance contact 20 (resistor) by switching a three-mode relay device 12 to the on-state of a first stage (state that a first moving element 21 closes a contact 19 through a resistance contact 20) by switching a relay-on voltage output from an ECU16 to a first on-level V1. After that, by switching the three-mode relay device 12 to a second stage on-state (state that a secure moving element 22 closes the contact 19 without going through the resistance contact 20) by switching the relay-on voltage to a secure on-level V2, the three-mode relay device is switched to a normal energizing state that the device is energized to an electric circuit of a power supply system without going through the resistance contact 20.
