PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent re-reverse stain no matter whether the conveyance is the reverse conveyance or the straight conveyance. SOLUTION: The image forming device forms an image on a fed recording medium by ejecting a recording liquid from a droplet ejection head, and has a reverse conveyance function for reversing an image forming surface on the recording medium after forming the image and conveying the medium, and a straight conveyance function for conveying the medium without reversing. The image forming device has a fed paper conveying means including a pressed member 131 and a pressing member 132. The pressing means 132 presses from the image forming surface side of the recording medium after forming the image, and the pressed member 131 is provided to confront the pressing member 132 and receives pressure from the pressing member 132. The upper and lower positions of the pressed means 131 and the pressing means 132 are switched by a fed paper conveyance switch means 133 so that the pressing surface of the pressing member 132 is brought into contact with the image forming surface of the recording medium in accordance with the conveyance function of the reverse conveyance function or the straight conveyance function.
