<p>Disclosed is a vehicle drive device with a structure capable of easy deployment in conventional automobiles, allowing individual driving of wheels, without increasing the load on suspension apparatus springs. The vehicle drive device comprises a wheel suspension with springs attached; an inverter integrated dynamo wherein an inverter is disposed adjacent to a stator along the rotation axle of a rotor; and a motive power transmission mechanism that converts the rotation direction of the inverter integrated dynamo to the rotation direction of the wheel and transmits drive power from the inverter integrated dynamo to the wheel. The inverter integrated dynamo has the rotation axle of the rotor on the same axis as the center axis in the vibration damping direction of the wheel suspension, and the lower end (wheel-side end) of the inverter integrated dynamo is set closer to the chassis side than the lower end (wheel-side end) of the springs.</p> |
