Disclosed is a production method for an organic EL display apparatus, which includes a step (SO1) for obtaining the representative current-voltage (I-V) properties of a display panel which has a plurality of pixels that include an organic EL element and a drive transistor; a step (SO2) in which the display panel is divided into a plurality of segmented regions and the luminous efficiency calculated from the I-brightness (I-L) properties of each segmented region and the offset luminance value are found for each segmented region; a step (SO3)that measures the emission luminance of each pixel and finds the L-V properties of each pixel; a step (SO5) that finds the L-V properties of each segmented area by multiplying each current value for the aforementioned representative I-V properties by the luminous efficiency and adding the offset luminance value; and a step (SO6) that finds the correction parameters for each pixel that will correct the L-V properties of each pixel to the L-V properties of the segmented region that contains that pixel.
