<p>Disclosed is an information system, a control apparatus, a method of controlling a virtual network, and a program, wherein a virtual network to be affected by changes in the state of a transfer node can be identified, without sending a flow through the virtual network. The information system comprises a plurality of transfer nodes each of which is provided with a packet processing unit that carries out processing of received packets using processing rules conforming to the received packets, and a control apparatus that makes the plurality of transfer nodes function as a virtual network, by setting the processing rules to the transfer nodes. The control apparatus is provided with a virtual-network route-information storage unit for storing therein a corresponding relationship between the virtual network and a transfer route comprised of the transfer nodes; and a virtual network control unit for identifying a virtual network to be affected by any change in any transfer node among the plurality of transfer nodes, by referring to the virtual-network route information storage unit.</p> |
