OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND OPTICAL RECORDING-READING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient recording and reading in an optical recording medium including servo layers and recording and reading layers.

SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 10 includes: a first servo layer 18 having a projection and a depression for tracking control that are formed in a first spiral direction; a second servo layer 19 having a projection and a depression for tracking control that are formed in a second spiral direction opposite from the first spiral direction; and a plurality of recording and reading layers 14 having a flat structure with no projection and depression for tracking control, wherein information is recorded on each of the plurality of recording and reading layers 14 while tracking control is performed using the first servo layer 18 or the second servo layer 19.
