PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate compressing and binding a layered product, and facilitate releasing the layered product. SOLUTION: A binding tool 1a is used to bind the layered product 20 by pressure compression, or release the layered product. The binding tool includes: two fixed plates (3f and 3r) facing at both longitudinal ends on a base seat 2; two movable moving plates (5f and 5r) moving back and forth between the two fixed plates while the moving plates are facing; a bolt 6 reaching the front face of the front moving plate by penetrating the front fixed plate from the front side; a nut 7 threadedly engaged with the bolt between the front fixed plate and moving plate; a shaft 8 reaching the back face of the back moving plate though the back fixed plate from the back side; a slit 9 penetrating the shaft 8 transversely and extending longitudinally; a wedge hole 11 opening upward in the back fixed plate and extending downward; and a wedge 10 driven into the wedge hole 11 from above. A front end face 9f of the slit 9 which is a friction surface with the wedge 10, moves the back moving plate 5f relative to a base seat to a predetermined relative position via the shaft 8, when the wedge 10 is driven into a predetermined depth.
