PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paper feeder for completely preventing double feed with reduced size and reduced cost. SOLUTION: A suction chamber 5 is provided at an inner side of a plurality of belts 3 provided in parallel at an upper part of a paper feed stand 1, air is sucked from an opening of a lower face to suck paper onto the belt 3, and the belt 3 is rotated and driven to deliver the sucked paper. A first separation member 20 is arranged on at least one position of an intermediate portion between the belt 3 and the belt 3 adjacent to each other to locate the upper end at a position higher than the belt lower face. The sucked paper is deflected upward at the intermediate portion between the belt 3 and the belt 3. Delivery of the second paper is stopped by the first separation member 20 by using difference in mutual deflection amount when two sheets of paper are sucked. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
