PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutting tool superior in practical use of being extremely large in the improving effect of chip discharge performance by chip breakers. SOLUTION: The rotary cutting tool is provided so that a spiral chip discharge groove 2 turning to the base end side from the tool tip is formed in a plurality on the outer periphery of a tool body 1, an outer peripheral cutting edge 3 is formed in a crossing ridgeline part between a rake surface of this chip discharge groove 2 and an outer peripheral surface of the tool body 1 or an outer peripheral flank formed on the outer periphery of the tool body 1, and a plurality of chip breakers 4 are arranged on the outer peripheral surface or the outer peripheral flank of the tool body 1 so as to divide this outer peripheral cutting edge 3. and is constituted in a part of a rotational locus of the chip breakers 4 so that the rotational locus of the outer peripheral cutting edge 3 adjacent to the rear side in the tool rotational direction of these chip breakers 4 overlaps at a rate of 40% or more.
