PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing oxide from flowing in a casting mold. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a stalk for low pressure casting. The stalk includes a first passage 27 and a second passage 28. The second passage 28 includes a first float chamber 31 and a second float chamber 32. The first float chamber 31 vertically movably houses a first float 37 and includes, in the lower end, a first fall-off preventive part for preventing fall-off of the first float 37 and includes, in the upper end, a first seat 39 with which the first float 37 contacts and a first through-hole 41 for allowing molten metal 15 to flow from the first float chamber 31 to a second float 43. In the second float chamber 32, there are provided the second float 43, a second fall-off preventive part 44, a second seat 45, and a second through-hole 46. Oxide 50 is captured in the second passage 28, and molten metal 15 containing no oxide 50 is poured in a casting mold 23. Since the molten metal 15 with the oxide 50 captured is poured in the casting mold 23, a high quality casting can be manufactured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
