PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact lens sterilization method and a contact lens sterilization device, having a high sterilization effect and capable of removing protein as well by simple work. SOLUTION: The contact lens sterilization device 100 includes: a container part 1; a lens housing part 2, an ultraviolet ray generating light source part 3; an ultraviolet ray generating device part 4; and a lid part 5. A solution L for sterilization containing hydrogen peroxide of concentration≥0.1% is poured into the container part 1, and the lens housing part 2 and the ultraviolet ray generating light source part 3 are immersed in the solution L for sterilization. In the lens housing part 2, a contact lens is seated. The ultraviolet ray generating light source part 3 irradiates the solution L for the sterilization with ultraviolet rays generated by the ultraviolet ray generating device 4.
