PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety belt hook device for an elevator, for allowing a worker to more safely move from an elevator hall to the upper part of a passenger car by installing a safety belt hook on a jamb. SOLUTION: The safety belt hook device 20 for the elevator is arranged inside the jamb 3 constituting an elevator hall doorway for the safety belt of the worker to be mounted thereto. It includes the safety belt hook 23 for the safety belt to be mounted thereto, and a hinge 24 for setting the safety belt hook 30 to be stored in the jamb 3 when the elevator normally travels, and for setting the safety belt hook 30 to be protruded into an elevator shaft 32 when the elevator shaft 32 is inspected inside.
