A method for configuring neighbor cells and a policy configuration server are provided in the present invention. The method includes: obtaining information of macro cells neighboring to femto cells; determining configuration information of the femto cells neighboring to the macro cells according to the information of the neighbor macro cells; sending the configuration information of the neighbor femto cells to a configuration element so as to enable the configuration element to perform neighbor cell configuration according to the configuration information of the neighbor femto cells. The policy configuration server includes an obtaining module, a determination module, and a first transmission module. With the method and the policy configuration server for configuring neighbor cells in the embodiments of the present invention, the mobility of users within macro cells and femto cells is supported, the efficiency and the accuracy of neighbor cell configuration are improved, and the operation cost is reduced. |
