The present invention discloses a method for playing video of TV meeting, which includes the following steps: a TV meeting system receives a first video stream and a second video stream; the first video stream is analyzed to obtain a first video data, and the second video stream is analyzed to obtain a second video data; the first video data and the second video data are composed and encoded to obtain a third video stream; the third video stream is sent to meeting ternimals. With the technical solution of the invention, two channels of high definition video images dispalyed at the same layer of the multi-picture window can be realized without changing the dispaying manners and layout of the original meeting termianls, and the user requirement of displaying the high definition main video and high definition auxiliary video simultaneously is satisfied.
