<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a color filter which can perform display at a high contrast even in the case a liquid crystal display device is observed from an oblique direction; the liquid crystal display device using the same; and a method for producing a color filter producing the above color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter includes: a transparent substrate; and a colored layer of two or more colors formed on the transparent substrate.
