<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water soluble cyan pigment having a hue with high clarity suitable for ink jet recording, while recorded articles have various fastnesses, and excellent in storage stability of an ink composition when it is prepared, and the ink composition containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A porphyrazine pigment represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof, and the ink composition containing thereof are provided.
