<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for surely correcting skew of a sheet according to a type of a sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet skew correction device includes: a resist roller 116 having a pair of sheet conveyance rotating bodies; a shutter member disposed upstream from a nip portion of the pair of sheet conveyance rotating bodies and near the nip portion which is swingable between a first posture abutting on the tip of a sheet and a second posture which a sheet can pass through; a spring 64 which is biased to maintain the shutter member to be the first posture; a motor 42 for driving the resist roller; a control means for controlling a rotational direction of a motor according to a type of a sheet to be used; a first drive train 43 in which the motor and the resist roller are driven and connected and a second drive train 44 whose speed reduction rate is different from the first drive train; a means for switching the first drive train or the second drive train to transmit the driving force of the motor according to the rotational direction of the motor; and a means for switching the biasing force toward the shutter member of the spring 64 according to the rotational direction of the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
