<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone device on which input information or a function corresponding to an input button can be enlarged and displayed in a display part, and to provide a method of controlling the mobile phone device. <P>SOLUTION: When a user comes in contact with a contact detection sensor 56 of a prescribed input unit 44, a display 42 is controlled by a control circuit 36 to enlarge and display, on the display 42, input information capable of being input by depression of the input unit 44 or a function being made available by depression of an input button.
