<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower fuel cost by further improving energy efficiency, in a hybrid drive device having an internal combustion engine and a motor generator. <P>SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission 35 for changing a rotational frequency of an engine 20 is provided between the engine 20 and the motor generator 36, and a first clutch 34 for blocking or releasing a power transmission route between the engine 20 and the continuously variable transmission 35 is provided between the engine 20 and the continuously variable transmission 35, and a second clutch 37 for blocking or releasing the power transmission route between the motor generator 36 and a drive wheel is provided between the motor generator 36 and the drive wheel, and each control unit 51-55 cooperatively executes a first inertia traveling mode in which a hybrid vehicle travels by an inertial force by releasing the second clutch 37 on condition that vehicle speed is not lower than a first vehicle speed threshold, and that an accelerator switch 57 is brought into an off-state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
