PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable dust inside a dust collecting chamber to be securely compressed. SOLUTION: The dust collecting device includes a suction port 45A, an air exit 45B, a device casing 30 in which the dust collecting chamber 40 is disposed, a rotary support 35 cylindrically formed, supported on the casing 30, rotatable around a shaft inside the casing 30 and having the front end provided inside the chamber 40 and the first filter 41 and a compression member 39 workably and coaxially connected to the support 35 via an end face cam mechanism 55 and so supported on the casing 30 as to be able to shift axially along the support 35 from a position above the first filter 41 to a side of the first filter 41. The compression member 39 shifts to the side of the first filter 41 following rotations of the support 35 to compress the dustαaccumulated around the first filter 41 inside the chamber 40.
