<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal fixing device in which the overheat of a fixing sleeve is prevented even if the rotation of the fixing sleeve is made low in speed. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal fixing device includes: a fixing roller 2 having the fixing sleeve 2c at an outermost peripheral part; a pressing member pressing the fixing roller 2 to form a nip; a heating mechanism heating the fixing sleeve 2c and a rotation detection mechanism (rotation detection blade 5, a rotation detection sensor 6 and a rubber roller 91) detecting the rotation speed of the fixing sleeve 2c. At least the fixing sleeve 2c is driven and rotated in the fixing roller 2 and power supply to the heating mechanism is stopped when the rotation speed of the fixing sleeve 2c detected by the rotation detection mechanism is made to be a prescribed value or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
