PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem wherein there is no method of measuring (quantitatively determining) the amount of BTA (salt) on the surface of metal powder such as silver powder and copper powder. SOLUTION: This quantitative determination method of BTA (salt) on the surface of metal powder includes a process of mixing the BTA (salt) into hydrochloric acid aqueous solution at a predetermined concentration, heating them, measuring absorbance with a spectrophotometer, and determining the calibration curve or relational expression of concentration of BTA (salt) and absorbance, and a process of mixing the metal powder having the BTA (salt) on its surface into hydrochloric acid aqueous solution and heating them, measuring the absorbance of liquid obtained by performing solid-liquid separation of the obtained slurry with the spectrophotometer, determining the concentration of BTA (salt) in the liquid based on the measured absorbance value and the calibration curve or relational expression, and calculating the amount of the BTA (salt) on the surface of metal powder.
