PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker automatically cooking based on appropriate heating time when cooking containers with different heat capacities are used, in the cooker for which cooking containers having various shapes and made of various materials are used. SOLUTION: The cooker includes a heating means heating cooking containers and cooking objects input in the cooking containers and a control means controlling the heating operation. The cooker further includes a cooking container temperature measurement means measuring the temperature of the cooking container. The cooking container temperature measurement means can measure passage time when a cooking container temperature as a measurement target reaches a predetermined second temperature from a predetermined first temperature. The control means executes cooking container heat capacity determination processing for determining the heat capacity of the cooking container based on passage time measured when the cooking container is heated from the first temperature to the second temperature with no cooking object input.
