PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the sticking itself of slag or the like in the vicinity of the lower edge of a long nozzle itself, and to suppress the increase of deposit layers. SOLUTION: In the long nozzle 10 discharging molten steel to a tundish, at least over the upper region than the upper edge position of an immersion part (the region to the upper face of a melt layer when the long nozzle is immersed into the melt within the tundish) from the lower edge of the long nozzle, either or both of the inner hole side surface and the outer circumferential side surface of the long nozzle is provided with several projections 20 in a height of at least≥6 mm projecting from the surface thereof to extend in the upper and lower directions at intervals in the circumferential direction.
