PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drilling machine for a reinforced concrete body, which has a single equipment constitution, which can drill a hole with proper workability in a reinforced concrete body by cutting off a reinforcement along a smooth cut surface and which enables efficient and rational execution of that work; and to provide a method for drilling the hole in the reinforced concrete body. SOLUTION: This drilling machine for the reinforced concrete body includes: a drive section 2 for driving a rod 3; a large-diameter drilling bit 4 which is provided at the front end of the rod; a small-diameter drilling bit 5 which is protrusively provided ahead of the large-diameter drilling bit, and which drills a pilot hole in concrete in a position ahead of the large-diameter drilling bit along with the drilling of the hole in the concrete C by the large-diameter drilling bit, by the reciprocatory drive and rotational drive of the rod; and a reinforcement cutting bit which is formed like a hollow cylinder equal in outside diameter dimension to the large-diameter drilling bit, which has a ring-shaped bit portion provided at a front end, which is protrusively provided ahead of the large-diameter drilling bit, and which forms a ring-shaped cut groove in the concrete while cutting off the reinforcement R by the rotational drive of the rod.
