PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to improvement of reliability and safety in power supply. SOLUTION: A ground fault detection relay 1 determines whether a ZCT (Zero phase Current Transformer) of a fault line has been disconnected or a ZCT of a sound line has been disconnected based on whether (Σ<SP>5</SP><SB>i=1</SB>I<SB>0i</SB>) and I<SB>06</SB>are out of phase or in phase. The ground fault detection relay 1 searches a line L<SB>i</SB>(i=1 to 4) with I<SB>0i</SB>(i=1 to 4) and I<SB>06</SB>being in phase to identify the faulty line, when determining that the ZCT of the sound line has been disconnected.
