PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate burdens of a CPU in communication. SOLUTION: A main memory part 3 records a descriptor chain 12 for associating a plurality of received data areas with a plurality of descriptors. A communication control part 10 records the written received data in the written received data area when written received data received via a network are accumulated in a packet buffer 7 and when a descriptor corresponding to a written received data area shows that recording is attainable; and when the descriptor shows that the recording is unattainable, the communication control part outputs an interruption signal. A CPU 2 reads the received data from the read received data area when the interruption signal is output, and updates the descriptor chain so that the descriptor corresponding to the read received data area may show that the recording is attainable.
