PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform an operation test related to the transmission and reception of a plurality of signals for performing the transition of a communication state. SOLUTION: TX and RX are connected by a loop-back path 400 and BIST processing is executed. In an example of the processing, an OOB signal control part 204 invalidates "COMWAKE" detected by an OOB signal detection part 203 by the control of a TEST-use state machine 251. Thus, the TEST-use state machine 251 does not output control signals for returning from a power-saving state, to a state management part 222. In another example, "COMWAKE" generated by a TEST-user OOB signal generation part 214 in the power-saving state is transmitted from the TX and is received in the RX. Also in another example, an operation is performed as if the OOB signal control part 204 autonomously receives "COMWAKE", and the TEST-use state machine 251 which receives the information outputs the control signals for returning from the power-saving state to the state management part 222.
