PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine capable of facilitating the exchange operation of commodity racks and preventing the occurrence of a malfunction caused by an error in a setting input. SOLUTION: In the vending machine constituted by vertically arranging a plurality of commodity racks 31 in each of which a plurality of spiral racks 50 are horizontally arranged in parallel in a body cabinet 10, and when a selling command is given, ejecting a commodity from a spiral rack 50 of the corresponding commodity rack 31 to sell the commodity, a rack harness 80 for connecting the commodity rack 31 to a CPU 100 is provided with a signal line of a pattern predetermined in accordance with the column constitution of the commodity rack 31.
