PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in using a toothbrush, saliva mixed with a tooth powder drips down a part of the toothbrush handle 3, soiling a wrist sometimes and soiling occasionally the edge of a sleeve of underwear beyond the wrist. SOLUTION: An elliptical projection 1 is attached around the full circumference of the handle 3 between the bristle section 2 and a part of the handle 3 of the toothbrush. During the use of the toothbrush, a flow of saliva mixed with a tooth powder from the mouth is stopped with this elliptical projection 1. The saliva mixed with the tooth powder is prevented from flowing down to the wrist by this elliptical projection 1.
