The container (1) has a container wall covering bulk goods formed by front and rear walls (2, 3), and a stand base (4) connecting the front and rear walls that are connected with each other. The stand base is formed of inner layers (9, 10) of a tubular web section that is folded in longitudinal direction. A bottom portion (5) and a multilayer top portion (6) of the container comprise a multilayer region. The top portion is equipped with a perforation part (12) i.e. carrying aid. Parts of the top portion are separated from a filling space for the bulk goods by a connection seam (7). An independent claim is also included for a method for processing a web material for a packaging container.
