If a terminal apparatus (2) of a wireless communication system (1) detects the occurrence of an event for transmitting, to a base station apparatus (3) that the terminal apparatus (2) is in communication with, a measurement result report of the radio wave state of a cell at a frequency set in the base station apparatus (3), the terminal apparatus (2) creates a measurement result report which includes information showing the radio wave state of a cell at the frequency that the event had occurred in and at another different frequency. The base station apparatus (3) controls whether to hand over the terminal apparatus (2) to the other cell, based on the measurement result report transmitted from the terminal apparatus (2). Due to this, the time required for handover can be shortened in wireless communication systems which use a plurality of frequencies to enable communication between a base station apparatus and terminal apparatuses.
