The method of determining a rotational speed of a multi-tooth wheel comprises determining a rotational speed for at least one tooth of the multi-tooth wheel, the multi-tooth wheel being moved over a predetermined rotation angle (eg.360 degrees); and calculating a mean value of rotational speed from the determined tooth rotational speeds. The method is for use in controlling clutch actuation in a transmission. Also claimed is a computer program product for carrying out the method. |
