The laser has a control device (36) with a microphone and a loudspeaker. Different tips (12) having light-conducting elements (26) are detachably arranged, where the tips differ from one another in diameters of the respective light-conducting elements and/or in an amount by which a light conductor axially protrudes over a front free end (32) of the tip. The device determines one of the tips and controls a controllable laser light source (38) depending on a desired work process, such that power required for the process is available at a free end (34) of one of the light-conducting elements. |
