Device and method for communication in a predefined mode

The present invention is related to a device for enabling a predefined mode of communication over a communication line between a first communication device (2) and a second communication device (3). The device comprises activation means (5) arranged for obtaining information indicative of the capability of establishing communication in the predefined mode over said communication line between the first and the second communication device and means (7) for analysing said information, whereby the activation means is further arranged for activating and deactivating the predefined mode of communication according to the analysis of said information. The device is characterised in that the means for analysing comprises a sensing means arranged for assessing the capability of establishing communication in the predefined mode between the first and the second communication device.
