<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which determines the conveyance state of a sheet-like member, such as paper, and performs conveyance control/image forming timing control. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 detects the paper P conveyed by a conveyance mechanism part 20 by detection sensors Sa-Sj at a plurality of places, computes actual passing time among the detection sensors Sa-Sj from the detection result of each detection sensor Sa-Sj, respectively, creates the statistical data of actual passing times from the computed actual passing times for a predetermined period, determines the conveyance state of the paper P among the respective detection sensors Sa-Sj based on the current actual passing time, the statistical data. and the theoretical passing times among the respective detection sensors Sa-Sj, and performs conveyance control of the paper P based on the conveyance state, and/or image forming timing control to the paper P in an image forming part 10.
